Early Language Education starts here!

This is a 2 hour 45 minutes Spanish Program for preschool age children where they stay at our Spanish studio to play and interact with other children and the instructor/s in Spanish.  The language is taught through play, music, games, and routines.

This program is directed to independent almost 3 years old to 5 years old.

Current schedule 2019-2020 is: Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 9:00  to 11:45 a.m  (spots available if you are interested this year)

Tuesday - Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 - 11:45 a.m. for next school year 2020-2021

What to expect?

Our play school is based on free play and guided routines. During free play, children are allowed to select the area and toys the want to play with, and the instructor takes that moment as a teaching moment where the language is spoken, and new vocabulary is presented; or if the child is already experienced with the language, his/her knowledge is reinforced.

Our students are always asked to repeat the new words in Spanish while they are playing with their selected toys, and our special techniques for speech are applied during that time.

Guided routines such as circle time, hands on activity for the day, and snack time, are meant to focus on our unique curriculum based on visuals and music.

Spanish Play Dates© uses its own curriculum designed to teach all the basic of preschool material in the Spanish language. We use an average of 20 songs during the school year. These songs are exclusively designed to teach the language in an easy and repetitive way, helping our students to understand the language in concepts.

Summarizing:  Our students are exposed to the target language during their time with us while working on language, math, science, play, and music. All their social and cognitive skills will be developed at the same time.

It is known that bilingual education at an early age offers the most flexibility for shaping creative minds. Toddlers are less self-conscious than older learners and are willing to try newly acquired language skills while minimizing their fear of embarrassment. Our staff and families support their words with body language, context, gestures, intonation, and visual aids.

"Each child develops the language according to the number of exposures. The more our children participate in our classes, play our games, and sing our songs, the more they absorb the concepts, and vocabulary. Through socialization and collaboration, it does not take long before children begin to understand basic directions and information in their new language.
